Have you ever been in a good mood, then instantly a bad thought pops up and changes your whole attitude. You went from jumping for joy to sulking like a teenager who just got on a month of punishment. Your happy attitude just went out the window and in walked a bad attitude through the door. Now, you figured your whole day will be jacked up. Nothing is going to go right.
Negative thoughts can kill the mood. However, that is if we choose to allow those thoughts to dictate our mood. We get to decide what kind of day we will have. It’s our choice to decide how our day will start and end. All we have to do is turn our thoughts to the Word of God. We have to cast down the negative thoughts and put into action the Word. Say no to those negative thoughts that kill and yes to the promises of God.
Our thoughts become our words, words become actions in our lives. So we have to be mindful of what God’s Word tells us to think about. “And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.”Philippians 4:8-9 NLT
