There lies within a fire that has been quenched by the glamor, fame, hatred and evilness this world displays. We get all caught up trying to keep up with those who are messed up. Then we find ourselves all beat up mentally, sometimes physically and most definitely spiritually. But how do we get the fire to burn again?
Well, turn from the world and turn to God and pray. He is the only one and the only way to light the fire. We were given the Holy Spirit when we accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior.
The fire of the Holy Spirit lies within. In 2nd Timothy 1:14, we are told that "Through the power of the Holy Spirit who lives within us, carefully guard the precious truth that has been entrusted to you." With a fire that has been quenched, how can we guard the precious truth from being tarnished by what the world tells us & show us. The Holy Spirit gives us the power to ward off the lies and walk in the truth. The fire within gives us boldness, confidence and wisdom to do our part in the kingdom. Keep the fire burning!
