The Gift Isn't for Sale

Salvation is a priceless gift that cannot be bought, sold, or traded. It's like a rare diamond that's too precious to put a price tag on. Some people think they can purchase their way into heaven with wealth, power, or influence. They act like they're VIPs who can skip the line and get special treatment from God. The truth is, salvation is not for sale, no matter how much money you have in your bank account or how many followers you have on social media. "And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money, saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost. But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money." Acts 8:18-20 Imagine if salvation was a product that you could buy at a store. What aisle would it be in? Would it be next to the snacks and drinks or the home appliances? Would it come with a warranty or a user manual? Would there be different brands and models to choose from? Would there be discounts and coupons available? And most importantly, would it be worth the price? I can picture some salesperson trying to pitch salvation to a customer. "Hey, you there! Yes, you! Are you tired of feeling guilty, lost, and alone? Do you want to be saved from your sins and have eternal life? Well, have I got a deal for you! Introducing the gift of salvation, the ultimate solution to all your spiritual needs! For just $999.00, you can secure your spot in heaven and enjoy all the perks that come with it! Don't wait, act now and receive a free prayer book and a holy water dispenser! We have operators standing by!" Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Acts 2:38 KJV Of course, this is all nonsense. Salvation cannot be bought, sold, or traded. It's a gift that's freely given by God to those who believe in Him and accept His grace. It's not about how much money you have, how famous you are, or how many good deeds you've done. It's about your faith, repentance, and relationship with God. It's about acknowledging your need for a savior and trusting in Jesus Christ as the only way to the Father. So, if you're tempted to think that you can earn your way to heaven or buy your way out of hell, think again. Remember that salvation is not for sale but is freely available to all who seek it with a humble and contrite heart. And if you ever see someone trying to sell salvation like it's a product, just smile and say, "No thanks, I already have the real thing."
