Test Turned Testimony

Welcome to a new day; a day of new mercies from God! Do we ever think of the magnitude of that scripture? The Word tells us that God grants us new mercies (plural) everyday. In Lamentations 3:22-23, the Word says, "Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness." Give God some praise; I'm just saying! Today, I want to share with you all what I call a "test turned testimony"! I love to travel and one of the things I do is plan my travel out ahead, preferably, a year. This gives me time to pay it off, especially if the cost is over $1,000. I call it putting my vacation on layaway (don't judge me). Anyways, I made plans to take three cruises and one international trip. I had it all figured out. During my prayer time I had been praying for patience and an increase in my faith. Be careful what you pray for. This is where the testing begins. Between October 2022 and June 2023, I lost four family members, including my dad and a very close Aunt. Appliances in my home started breaking. I had a flood that caused my kitchen ceiling to cave in, my car was hit, and finally, my air conditioner went out. And boy has it been some hot days in Georgia! One would think they are being punished but I knew these things came to test me. My reaction was to praise God, to thank Him for taking care of my needs. I gave thanks for Him being concerned about me and about the things I'm concerned about. When it looked like I was not going to be able to get my ticket to Ghana, after having paid for my accommodations and activities, I never doubted God. I heard the Holy Spirit say be patient and have faith. I'm so grateful that I can say my test turned into a testimony. God made a way for me to do all that I had planned, even when I couldn't see how. Romans 8:28 says, "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." "Tests are not meant to break us, but to make us. When we turn our tests into testimonies, we not only inspire ourselves, but also those we encounter." Be blessed and know that I love y'all! #Test #Testimony #TestTurnedTestimony #JehovahJirah #GodProvides
