Prepare Us for the Send

In the Military, a lot of preparation is required before any of the servicemen or women take off to do what they were trained to do. New enlisted members must first go through basic training. In the Army, one doesn't start driving a tank without training. In the Navy, one doesn't just take command of a submarine without extensive training. Whichever branch of the military you join, there is preparation before the battle. Those who walked with Jesus were being prepared for a few things. 1st, the disciples were prepared to live life according to the way of the Father. (Beatitudes) 2nd, they were prepared for the crucifixion of Jesus, whether they realized it or not. (John) 3rd, they were prepared to receive the Spirit of God. (Acts ) Finally, Jesus prepared His disciples for the send. (Matthew 28:19) Before He sent them off, He taught them all He received from the Father. He gave them the gift of the Holy Spirit. He then instructed them to go after the Holy Spirit came upon them. He sent His disciples off with power and authority. Well, we too must prepare for the send because God has called us to assist in His plans. We are soldiers in this spiritual war. And by His Word and Spirit, God is preparing us or has prepared some of us. Paul tells us in Ephesians 1:3, that God has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms; because we are united in Christ. Being prepared for the send by abiding in Christ, we will produce good fruit. Christ abiding in us gives us access to the same power that raised him from the dead. How many of us are well prepared for the send? How many of us are in need of basic training? How many of us are unsure? The ensures, I need to invite y'all to Bible study. Ask God to reveal to you where he sees you. Regardless of where you think you are, God will still use you. God just wants us to be prepared for the send-off. We are on a serious mission y'all!

Matthew 28:19-20 KJV "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen." I love y'all and ain't nothing you can about it. Be blessed and be a blessing!
