Most of us just gathered with family to partake in the Thanksgiving holiday. It crossed my mind that a lot of us only think about giving thanks in the month of November. There's a pike in posts about being thankful. Oh and some of us don't think about giving thanks at all. I feel like Thanksgiving is just another day where people come together to eat, drink and talk trash to each other. Maybe get a football game in at the same time. The significance of the moment is no longer there.
The Word of God tells us that we should "be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus." I want to call you all to a challenge today. I challenge you to journal or record once a day, something that you are grateful for. It doesn't have to be anything extravagant. I challenge you to start a gratitude journal. WIll you ask the challenge?
