It is a joyous time to reflect on the greatest gift of all time. A gift that can never be topped. A gift that can never be bought!
Wouldn't you love to be the one the angel came to and told about the birth of our Savior? I mean they did say they had "good news" and that it "will bring great joy to all people". I would have wanted to see for myself, just like the wise men. Luke 2:15 says, "when the angels had returned to heaven, the shepherds said to each other, “Let’s go to Bethlehem! Let’s see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.” You can't tell me that you would not have wanted to see this thing that will bring GREAT joy to ALL people. Not to some people but to every last one of us!
This good news coming out of Bethlehem, "this thing", is Hope to the hopeless. This thing is Strength to the weak. This thing is Sight to the blind. This thing is Light in darkness. This thing is Healing to the sick. This thing is Refuge to the lost. This thing, this good news, will save the world from its sins. This thing, this good thing, is our Savior Jesus Christ!
