It's the power of one word for me y'all. It can be a transforming experience. I have chosen one word every year since 2011 or 2012. I initially chose the word myself the first year then afterward I would pray and seek God for my word. I begin searching the scripture that related to my one word and I'd meditate on it throughout the year.
In past years I focused on words like restoration, discipline, purpose, believe and expectation, to name some. For the year 2020, God planted the word surrender in my heart and spirit. And the chosen scripture was Galatians 2:20. It hasn't been easy surrendering every area of my life to God but it's been worth it.
Over the years I witnessed the power of transformation by focusing on one word. The trajectory of my life has been forever changed. Let me encourage you to seek God for your one word as the new begins. Find a related scripture and meditate on along with your word. Be a living witness of the power of #oneword!
