Freedom through Forgiveness

I have mentioned this several times to several different people, and I'm pretty sure many of you have done the same. I know that I have done wrong to some people or have gotten into a disagreement. Those times I chose not to offer an apology or forgive the person, I tell you that thing stayed on my mind. I truly didn't have any peace.

That's how you know forgiveness is for you, not for them! You have to free yourself and free the other person from that bondage. Plus, you and I both need God to forgive us, so let's not have any hindrance of that taken place. God says in Matthew 6:15, "But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins." He also says in Colossians 3:13, that "we should make allowance for each other's faults and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others."

If you're holding on to anger or pain as a result of being hurt by someone, forgiveness them. Forgive yourself if you've caused pain to someone. Then praise God for his forgiveness. Praise God for the ability to forgive others and to forgive yourselves. Praise God for Freedom through forgiveness!

Peace & love!

Have a great week walking in your new freedom!
