A Strong Morning Start is Important

When we awake each morning, we have two choices to decide upon. Are we waking up to our lives? Or are we waking up for our lives? We can choose to focus on ourselves or focus on God. We can choose to do things our way. Or we can choose to focus on God's daily purpose for our lives. The first 15 minutes of our morning helps to build a strong & solid foundation for our day. When we look at how Jesus begins His mornings, we see that He spent time praying. Before He made a move to do anything, He talked with His Father first. In Mark 1:35 it says, "Before daybreak the next morning, Jesus got up and went out to an isolated place to pray." Prayer gives us the fuel we need to an our day going and going in the right direction. Meeting with God first thing in the morning shows that we acknowledge Him as the one who has authority over our lives. We are surrendering to His leadership and His wisdom. We are not leaning on our own understanding but are seeking His divine will for us. A strong morning start is important! Seeking God through prayer is the way to it. So, make those first 15 minutes count. For the next six weeks we will discuss how to have a strong morning start. Be sure to check out the blog each week.

"Early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left [the house], and went out to a secluded place, and was praying there."

Mark 1:35
